NCSU Employment Site | Professor of Practice
The Department of Management, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (MIE) at NC State University's Poole College of Management announces a Professor of Practice position in the People Management area (i.e., Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Strategic Human Resource Management). Professors of Practice typically teach three class sections (9 credit hours) per semester (1-2 sections for each course) and build relationships with industry partners to create experience-based learning opportunities for our students through practicum projects, student clubs, and extra-curricular activities.
Primary responsibilities for this full-time, non-tenure-track position are teaching courses in both undergraduate and master's programs using both face-to-face and online delivery methods, engaging with external companies, and participating in departmental and college service activities in support
of students. Desirable competencies include extensive corporate leadership and/or consulting experience and a willingness to mentor/coach students, conduct research, and/or write cases.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree, PhD, or terminal degree in management or a related field. Title and compensation will be based on the candidate's experience and credentials. The position is a 9-month appointment with an anticipated August 2025 start date.
