    The Industrial – Organizational Psychology program at the University of South Florida (Tampa Campus) is searching for an assistant professor to join our team of Tammy Allen, Georgia Chao, Mike Gillespie, Daniel Griffin, Steve Kozlowski, and Clair Smith.

     

    Position Description for Assistant Professor in I-O Psychology

     

    The Department of Psychology at the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA invites applications for a 9-month appointment of a tenure track scholar in INDUSTRIAL-ORGANIZATIONAL Psychology at the Assistant Professor level, with service to begin as early as August 7, 2025. Salary is negotiable. Applicants should show promise of outstanding research and teaching. The successful applicant will be expected to establish an independent program of research that will garner extramural support, to supervise and mentor graduate students, to teach graduate and undergraduate classes, and to participate in departmental governance. We are particularly interested in scholars with advanced quantitative skills and interests and enthusiasm for teaching courses in Industrial Psychology, Psychometrics, Research Methods, and Statistics at all levels. We are open to consideration of all areas of substantive research. Preferred areas of specialization include selection, technology, psychometrics, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning or other areas related to the future of work, broadly construed. Opportunities to collaborate with scholars across the university exist, including with the new College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Computing.

     

    Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree by the time of the appointment. A review of applications will begin on October 15, 2024. Applications received after October 15, 2024 may be reviewed and advanced, in cases of compelling merit, up to the conclusion of the search process.
