Hi all, I always find that the greatest challenge in a required intro/general HR course is convincing students who aren't interested in HR that HR matters. This year, I attempted to do this by breaking down the publicly documented HR struggles of a local healthcare organization and discussing them in the context of the organization's overall performance, then using my CBA to illustrate why I feel comfortable leading what could be a controversial discussion in addressing this. It's a bit different from my typical lessons, but it led to some strong engagement on Day 1 and students seemed engaged throughout the week, so I think it served its purpose. I also made a recorded lecture, which a few colleagues had expressed interest in using, so I thought I would share it with this group in case it could be a useful resource for anyone: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FpNjDF-pcs&t=4s
