Gary Latham, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, cross-appointed in the Department of Psychology, Industrial Relations, and School of Nursing, is a Fellow and Past President of the Canadian Psychological Association, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and Division 1 (organizational psychology) of the International Association of Applied Psychology. In addition, he is a Fellow of the Academy of Management, the Association for Psychological Science, the National Association of Human Resource Management, and the Royal Society of Canada. Among his awards from the AoM are the Herbart H. Heneman Jr. Award for Career Achievement in Human Resource Management, the Distinguished Scholar- Practitioner Award from the AoM, the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Organizational Behavior division, the Thomas A. Mahoney Mentoring Award from the Human Resource Management division, as well as the Michael R. Losey Human Resource Research Award from SHRM. Gary currently serves on SHRM’s Foundation Board. His research credo, borrowed from Kurt Lewin, is no research without action and no action without research.
