Want to learn new ideas, tips and tricks for approaching Diversity and Inclusion in the Classroom? Then this PDW is for you.
Tips, Tricks, and New Ideas for Approaching Diversity and Inclusion in the Classroom (#10333) Friday August 7, 2:00 – 4:00PM EDT.
Due in part to growing heterogeneity in student populations and important societal events such as #BlackLivesMatter, #MeToo and #Time'sUp movements, this session aims to foster ideas for teaching "hot topics" related to D&I. Participants will learn from leading D&I scholars on how to translate D&I research for classroom materials, create teachable moments from current events, and gain tips on transferring D&I topics from the physical to the virtual classroom.
