    Job Description:

    The Department of Management and Marketing in the College of Business and Economics is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Management (F0074) at the assistant or associate professor rank to begin August 2022.  Candidates should have primary expertise in strategic management. An ability to teach business ethics is also desirable.

    The AACSB-accredited College of Business and Economics offers an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with concentrations in six disciplines, including Management, as well as a fully online MBA program.     Requirements:

    A Ph.D. in Management is required. Practical business experience is strongly preferred. ABD applicants will be considered if there is strong evidence that they will complete their degree requirements by August 2022. An established record of excellent teaching and research at the collegiate level is preferred. Successful candidates should be able to teach management courses at the undergraduate level and in the online MBA program. A demonstrated ability and commitment to working with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and constituents in support of the university mission is required.

     

    Additional Information:

    This is a full-time, tenure-track, instructional faculty position. Salary will be commensurate with credentials and experience.     The Governor of Virginia's Executive Directive #18: All Executive Branch Employees who enter the work place or who have public-facing work duties must disclose their vaccine status to the designated agency personnel. Executive Branch Employees who are not fully vaccinated or who refuse to disclose their current vaccine status, must undergo weekly COVID-19 testing and disclose weekly the results of those tests to the designated agency personnel. All Executive Branch Employees who have not been fully vaccinated must cover their mouth and nose with a mask in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention while indoors and conducting public business.
