Dear colleagues -
As organizations continue to adapt to an ever-changing landscape, two things have remained constant: 1) relationships in and around the workplace are vital to employees and 2) effective HR is crucial for a thriving workplace. It is with this in mind that we are very excited to be guest editing a special issue of Human Resource Management entitled "Relational Perspectives on Human Resource Management".
The submission portal is now open and we are reviewing manuscripts as they arrive. We have extended the deadline for the special issue to July 31, 2021 (NOTE: this is one month from the prior deadline).
We are seeking papers that advance theoretical and empirical perspectives on this topic - see the following link for the full Call For Papers. While we are intentionally aiming to broadly capture a variety of perspectives, we expect all submissions to be both relational and HRM at their core. For "relational," we seek examinations centered on the role of formal and informal patterns of interactions between dyads and groups of individuals within and outside organizational boundaries. "HRM" has a similar breadth as we welcome submissions that focus on HR policies, practices, systems as well as manuscripts that enrich understanding on HR outcomes of interest (employee attitudes and behaviors).
