    Call for 2022 Manuscript Award Nominations

    Please take a moment and nominate (self-nominations strongly encouraged!) deserving author(s) for their outstanding scholarly contributions to HR research. Please find information about each of our awards below. The deadline for most of these awards (SHRM Foundation Dissertation Grants Award being the exception) is February 2, 2022.

    Scholarly Achievement Award
    The Scholarly Achievement Award is presented to the author(s) of the most significant article in human resource management published in 2021. The award comes with a $2000 honorarium.

    SHRM Foundation Dissertation Grants Award
    SHRM Foundation Dissertation Grants are given to four promising researchers in the field of human resource management at the dissertation stage of their doctoral education. This annual competition is funded by the SHRM Foundation to support the dissertation research of doctoral candidates, and comes with a $5,000 grant. Please note the deadline for this award is May 1, 2022.

    International HRM Scholarly Research Award
    The International HRM Scholarly Research Award is presented to the author(s) of the most significant article at the intersection of human resource management and international management published in 2021. The award comes with a $500 honorarium.

    Ralph Alexander Best Dissertation Award
    The Ralph Alexander Dissertation Award is given to the author of the best doctoral dissertation that addresses a phenomenon of importance to human resource management. This dissertation must have been completed no more than 24 months prior to the submission deadline (February 2, 2022).

    Early Career Award in Employee Participation and Ownership
    This award is given for promising research by early career scholars in the domain of broad-based employee participation and ownership. The award comes with a $1,500 honorarium. Research proposals that have broad implications for practice and/or policy, and that address pressing economic and/or social problems, is especially appropriate for this award.
