Dear HR Community:
The HR Division of the Academy of Management is pleased to announce that we are now accepting proposals to host our 5th Human Resources International Conference (HRIC). The HRIC, held outside of North America, brings a high-quality academic conference to countries closer to where many of our Division's international members reside. They have been highly successful events and the HR Division officers are eager to continue to support them.
Prior conferences have been hosted by DCU in Dublin, Ireland (2019), UNSW Australia Business School (2016), and Beijing China, hosted by Renmin University (2014). Prior conferences have had approximately 200 participants and attendees. In January 2021 the 4th HRIC will be hosted by North-West University (in collaboration with Tilburg University) in Potchefstroom, North West Province, South Africa.
If you are interested in hosting the 5th HRIC, please complete the attached HRIC proposal form and submit it to anthony.nyberg@moore.sc.edu by midnight (EST), May 30th, 2020. Please email the current Division Chair (Chris Rosen, CRosen@walton.uark.edu) or Chair-Elect (Anthony Nyberg, Anthony.nyberg@moore.sc.edu) with any questions.
Based on this document, the HR Division Leadership will narrow the pool to two potential candidates who will be asked to present a more complete proposal to the division leadership during the AOM Annual Meeting 2020 in Vancouver Canada.
Dates & Deadlines:
May 30, 2020 Initial application to the HR Division Leadership
July 1,2020 The two finalists will be notified
August 9, 2020 Finalists will be invited to present to the HR Division Leadership
August 15, 2020 Finalists will be informed of the HR Division's decision.
