    The Department of Decision Sciences and Management at Tennessee Tech University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning August 1, 2021. This position will be focused on General Management and teaching responsibilities may include organizational behavior, business strategy, international management, leadership, and/or conflict management and negotiation. Minimum qualifications include 1) a doctoral degree in Management, Organizational Behavior, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution (ABDs nearing completion may be considered if the degree will be granted by August 1, 2021), 2) excellent teaching and communication skills, and 3) a demonstrated ability to publish research in peer-reviewed journals. Preferred qualifications include 1) experience teaching in-person, online, and/or hybrid courses, 2) ability to engage students in meaningful experiential activities, 3) ability to contribute to university-wide initiatives (e.g., healthcare, entrepreneurship, information technology, supply-chain management), and 4) prior full-time business, consulting, or other professional experience.

    Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and teaching in face-to-face and online environments. All doctoral-level faculty in the College of Business are expected to maintain a level of scholarly activity to qualify as Scholarly Academics in AACSB reporting. The College of Business highly values engagement with the local and regional business communities, as well as service to the department, university, and profession.

    Our department is home to approximately 400 majors and we offer majors in Business Management and Business & Information Technology. Within Business Management we offer concentrations in General Management, Human Resource Management, Production & Operations Management, and Business Intelligence & Analytics. We also provide graduate courses to support the College's MBA Program and graduate-level certificates.
