    Information about 2021 AOM (Virtual) Convention Awards

    As you work on your submissions to the upcoming Academy of Management Conference, we want to remind you about our annual awards that we give for the best overall paper, and also for the best paper at the intersection of entrepreneurship and human resources.

    In particular, if you are a STUDENT, please remember to self-identify in your submission to make you eligible for our student awards in both categories.


    Remember, the deadline for conference submissions is January 12, 2021, 5pm ET (New York time).

    Best Paper & Best Student Paper Award


    The Best Convention Paper Award is given to the author(s) of the best paper accepted by the Program Committee for the annual conference. The Best Student Convention Paper Award is given to the student who is the sole or first author on the best paper accepted by the Program Committee. Both awards come with a $500 stipend. Please note the deadline for submissions to the Annual Conference is January 12, 2021.

    The Convention awards are chosen from those papers selected for the annual Academy meeting. If you are eligible for the student award, we strongly encourage you to self-identify in your Academy submission!

    Best Paper & Best Student Paper Award for HR-Entrepreneurship Research

    These awards (and associated $1500 stipend) are given for promising research at the intersection of entrepreneurship and human resources. The winners are chosen from those papers selected for the annual conference. The Best Student Award is given to the student who is the sole or first author on the best paper accepted by the Program Committee. Please note the deadline for submissions to the Annual Conference is January 12, 2021.
