    Dear HR Division Colleagues

I trust you are all keeping well.  This post is to let you know that, while the Twelfth International Conference on Emotions and Worklife (Emonet XII) can no longer go ahead as planned as a live conference in Lancaster, UK, the conference will nonetheless still take place as a virtual conference.  We will post additional details regarding registration and participation presently.

The good news is not only will the conference take place, but that we no longer require registrants to pay any fees.  The conference will be completely free.

For the time being, the submission deadline (April 13) will remain unchanged,* so please submit your manuscripts (full manuscripts as per Academy of Management submission guidelines) via the Emonet submission site.  Don't forget to tell us which option you choose for your paper: (1) conference presentation only; (2) book only; (3) conference presentation and book.

*We may be open to extending the deadline further if authors request more time.  Conference participants no longer need to pay fees of book flights etc., so we can now be more flexible in this regard.

We are still looking for reviewers.  If you would like to sign up as a reviewer, please e-mail Audrey Teh at a.y.l.teh@lancaster.ac.uk.

The format we are considering is that we will invite authors of accepted papers (or symposia) to send us their presentations as PPT mix (visual slides + audio) files, which we will convert to MP4 video files and post to the conference website in sessions according to a (virtual) program.  Registrants will be given some time (say one week) to view (and listen to) the presentations, after which we will run a video conference (using Zoom or MS Teams) for each session to enable registrants to discuss the papers with the authors.  We will conclude the conference with a plenary video conference, where all participants will be invited.

As per past Emonet Conferences, following the conference, we will offer the authors of selected papers the opportunity to publish their work in the next volumes (Vol. 17 and 18) of the book series Research on Emotion in Organizations, published by Emerald Group Publishing.

Finally, as in past years, we still plan to offer a half-day Doctoral Consortium, which will comprise two keynote addresses followed by an interactive discussion session.  Dr. Audrey Teh will be coordinating the Consortium.  Details will be announced presently.

    Kind regards and keep well
Neal M. Ashkanasy, Ronald H. Humphrey, and Ashlea C. Troth, Emonet Conference Chairs
    Audrey Teh, Emonet Conference Coordinator.
