    UCC wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Human Resource Management to the Department of Management and Marketing, Cork University Business School. The Department of Management and Marketing is committed to providing a dynamic and supportive learning and research environment, which recognises the diverse backgrounds and interests of both students and staff. The purpose of this post is to further the realisation of the Department's vision to be recognised as both a disciplinary leader in human resource management research and education, and for our multi-disciplinary contribution to addressing the pressing challenges of business and society. This ambition was manifest with the successful launch of the Human Resource Research Centre (HRRC) in 2018.

     

    HRM focused faculty in the department are increasingly recognised at an international level for the quality of their research as evidenced by publications in the leading international journals (e.g. Human Resource Management Journal, Human Relations, British Journal of Management, Human Resource Management, Journal of Management Studies, International Small Business Journal; International Journal of Human Resource Management), holding of editorial roles (e.g. Human Resource Management Journal & European Journal of Training and Development), membership of editorial advisory boards, best paper awards and so forth.

     

    The advertised role will involve contributing to the design, development and delivery of teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate and post-experience levels, as well as conducting research and publishing in high quality outlets, supervise students, and contribute to the administrative duties of the school and the academic life of the university.

     

    Applications for the Lectureship in Human Resource Management are invited from those with teaching and research experience in the broad domain of human resource management (i.e. inclusive of areas like industrial relations). The ability and willingness to teach across multiple areas of human resource management and management studies is important for this role. Applicants with a strong ambition and desire to play a proactive role in leading our academic programmes and research endeavours are especially welcome.

    Appointment may be made on the Lectureship Salary Scale:  €34,067- €60,167/€65,758 - €84,550. Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
