I'm sharing how Professor Chris Emmons at Walsh College, Michigan has combined non-traditional books with a standard textbook and the SHRM legal guide in her HR program. She brings in readings from Lawler & Worley's "Management Reset" and Navin & Creelman's "The CMO of People".
The "CMO of People" brings in a CHRO perspective on what specifically needs to be done in a modern organization. "Management Reset" presents a set of ideas to challenge students. This mix of traditional and non-traditional sources engages students and enhances their ability to think critically.
Take a look!
