The University of Central Florida (UCF) Department of Management in the College of Business Administration seeks applicants for a new tenure track position (to start Fall 2022) on our main campus in Orlando, Florida. Our primary focus is at the Assistant Professor rank, but we will consider candidates at all ranks if research and teaching interests closely align with the position's other qualifications.

Although candidates from either micro or macro perspectives are welcome to apply, we are primarily seeking candidates with Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior interests. All candidates are expected to hold a doctorate in management or related discipline from an AACSB-accredited institution.

Along with effective teaching, successful candidates are also expected to conduct and publish top-tier research that further enhances the department's reputation for research productivity.

In addition to being a highly collegial department, the Management faculty group is among the most productive in the United States, consistently ranking high on the TAMUGA research productivity list for both overall output and publications per faculty member (8th and 3rd for 2020, respectively). Our tenure-track faculty members represent the areas of Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, and Business Ethics. They include: Maureen Ambrose, Rebecca Bennett (Interim Department Chair), Dane Blevins, Jim Combs, Craig Crossley, Rob Folger, Cameron Ford, Jeff Gish, Dana Joseph, Ron Piccolo (Department Chair), Alex Rubenstein, Marshall Schminke, Shannon Taylor, Tang Wang, and Steven Whiting.

The University of Central Florida was founded in 1963 to support the growing U.S. space program. The school has matured as a thriving, preeminent metropolitan research university. UCF is one of the nation's largest universities: its 13 colleges provide opportunities to over 71,000 students. UCF is a doctorate-granting institution with an R1 Carnegie Classification (very high research activity). Our own Management doctoral program consistently places graduating students in tenure-track research faculty positions. Kiplinger's ranked UCF as one of the nation's best values and Forbes ranked it as one of the nation's most affordable colleges. U.S. News & World Report ranked UCF as one of the nation's most innovative universities (8th public, 15th overall) and rated it as their number 3 'Up-and-Comer' University; UCF is one of only three universities to improve its rankings in all categories each of the last five years.

Orlando boasts a temperate sub-tropical climate with many local attractions, including the Space Coast, theme parks, and beaches, all under an hour from the UCF campus. Central Florida itself combines an affordable cost-of-living with no state income tax. Several Fortune 500 companies are also headquartered in Orlando, creating valuable opportunities for research collaboration.

Come live where the world vacations and work at a world-class research institution!
