Dear Colleagues,
We are writing to share important news regarding the context of our Talent Management Workshop community.
As you may know, the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM) has ceased operations following severe financial difficulties, formally entering voluntary bankruptcy on April 1, 2026. This marks the end of an institution that has played a central role in European management research for over five decades and the talent management workshop over more than a decade.
Importantly, the Talent Management Workshop will continue.
We are fully committed to sustaining and developing the workshop through a new model, working in collaboration with different institutional partners and host universities. This approach will allow us not only to maintain continuity but also to expand and strengthen our scholarly community.
Our mission remains unchanged: to provide a developmental forum for high-quality research exchange in talent management, welcoming both work-in-progress and completed work.
Given the timing and organizational constraints, the Athens workshop originally planned for September 2026 will be rescheduled to April 12-13, 2027. Additional information regarding submissions and participation will be communicated at a later date. On a positive note, we are pleased to return to a spring schedule, which many colleagues have previously found more manageable given the teaching demands typically associated with the beginning of the academic year.
We see this as a moment of transition, but also of opportunity – to continue building a strong, engaged, and evolving talent management community. We look forward to gathering again next year.
With best regards,
TM Workshop Co-Chairs (Vlad Vaiman, David Collings, and Hugh Scullion)
