Cork University Business School (CUBS), University College Cork, Ireland seeks to appoint the AIB Lecturer of Leadership, made possible by the generous support of Allied Irish Banks PLC. This position is being filled as part of UCC Futures - Sustainability, an ambitious programme of research prioritisation requiring experts from multiple disciplines and sectors to collaborate in new and reimagined ways.
Candidates will have completed or be near completion of a PhD in leadership, ethics, business and society, corporate social responsibility and/or other closely related fields. We are especially interested in applicants who are interested in and engaged in the topic of responsible and/or sustainable leadership which we view as being about making more sustainable business decisions that better balance conflicting stakeholder interests to be a broader force for good.
The successful candidate will have successfully published in journals of substantial international standing and/or demonstrate clear potential to do so (publications in the 3 and 4 star ranked journals by the Chartered Association of Business Schools are preferred). Candidates will have a clear teaching ability and will be encouraged and expected to deliver high quality teaching across the range of undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education programmes in the Business School in order to inculcate the principles of responsible leadership in our graduates.
The successful applicant will be supported in embedding and enhancing their research activities, with a particular focus on the acquisition of funding through the European Research Council programme.
