Please join us for our symposia on sexual harassment research. We offer two sessions at AoM in Chicago: (1) New Directions in Sexual Harassment Research: Third Party and Meta-organizational Perspectives on Monday, August 12, 1:15pm to 2:45pm at Hyatt Michigan 1C (East Tower), and (2) Sexual Harassment Research at Work: Perspectives from Around the World on Tuesday, August 13, 8am to 930am at Swissotel in Eleve River View 2. Our discussants are Professor Anne O'Leary Kelly and Professor Jana Raver respectively. For details, see our short description:

Sexual harassment (SH) research has recently gone through a resurgence in practical relevance and scholarly interest. While advances have been made in understanding the nature of sexual harassment and its consequences for victims and organizations, much work is still needed. Our two symposia bring together scholarly works about understudied topics of bystanders, observers of bystanders, third party harassers (i.e., patients, investors), meta-organizational contexts (e.g., patient-care contexts and the entrepreneurial ecosystem) and perspectives from various cultural (i.e., countries) and work contexts (i.e., industry and job types).  Collectively, our symposia set the stage for further scholarship on SH to aid in the development of programs and policies to help mitigate its negative impact on individuals, teams, and organizations.
