2026 Academy of Management Annual Meeting Call for Submissions
ADHD in the East and West Presenter Symposium
How does ADHD in WEIRD (Western, Educated, Industrialized, Rich, and Democratic) samples compare to ADHD in non-WEIRD samples? There is a knowledge gap regarding this research question, and an underrepresentation of non-WEIRD samples in management research (Fayyad et al., 2017; Gómez-Benito et al., 2019; Lewczuk et al., 2024, p. 522; Schimmelpfennig et al., 2025; Song et al., 2021). This symposium will showcase and compare findings about ADHD between eastern (e.g., non-WEIRD) and western samples.
Our contributing team is welcoming up to two more papers for inclusion. Papers should address ADHD in an eastern sample, whether 1) alone or 2) alongside other neurotypes.
