Dear colleagues,
We warmly invite you to join our PDW (#10207)at the 2026 Academy of Management Annual Meeting titled:
Intersectionality in the MBA Classroom: How Can We Support Educators?
This PDW explores how educators can create more inclusive, engaging, and psychologically safe MBA classrooms by integrating intersectionality into management education. It brings together an outstanding panel of scholars and educators with extensive experience in management education, diversity, inclusion, and pedagogical innovation:
- Helen De Cieri (Monash University)
- Karin Sandars (UNSW, Sydney)
- Matt Call (Texas A&M University)
- Mila Lazarova (Simon Fraser University)
- Sunanda Nayak (FORE School of Management)
- Swetketu Patnaik (Angila Ruskin University)
Together, we will discuss questions such as:
- How can intersectionality be meaningfully integrated into MBA and management education?
- How can educators navigate challenging classroom conversations across different cultural and institutional contexts?
- What teaching strategies help engage students with diverse identities, perspectives, and lived experiences?
- What practical approaches can educators adopt to create more inclusive and impactful learning environments?
Whether you are an experienced educator, an early-career faculty member, or a doctoral student preparing for a teaching career, we hope you will join the conversation.
