Reimagining Work: A People and Organizations Hackathon
Sunday, August 2, 2026, 12:15PM-3:15PM ET at Sheraton Liberty Ballroom B
Dear colleagues,
We would like to invite you to pre-register for Reimagining Work: A People and Organizations Hackathon, a PDW at AOM 2026.
This "hackathon" style PDW is designed to catalyze new research on how work and organizations are being reshaped. It uses a flipped format: four panelists each share a research question ("seed") and one-pager, and participants join a panelist in small groups to brainstorm, match questions to data and methods, and sketch concrete next steps to turn the seed into a viable project.

Organizers
Jillian Chown, Kellogg School of Management
Enrico Forti, Stillman School of Business and UCL School of Management
Piyush Gulati, UCL School of Management
Elaine Pak, The Wharton School
Sponsors: OMT (Primary); STR, OB, RM (Co-Sponsors)
To participate, we encourage you to pre-register here by July 15, 2026. Pre-registration is required for matching participants with research seed discussion tables, but all AOM attendees are welcome to attend.
Detailed PDW format and structure are available here.
We look forward to seeing you in Philadelphia!
