We invite applications for 2 fully-funded PhD positions in our Australian Research Council Discovery Project: Breaking the Cycle: Understanding Precarity in Australia's Youth Workforce.
The Opportunity
Join a research team led by Prof. Michelle Hood, Prof. Peter Creed, Prof. Andrea Bialocerkowski and I at Griffith University (Top 2% globally) to investigate how precarious employment affects young people's development and identify organisational-level interventions to break cycles of employment instability.
Research Focus: Life-history factors contributing to youth employment precarity, developmental impacts during the transition to adulthood, and co-designed solutions targeting organisational change.
What We Offer
- Full funding for 3 years: AU$34,752 annual stipend (indexed annually) + tuition fees covered

- Multidisciplinary research environment with quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approaches
Ideal Candidates
- Psychology, organisational behaviour/psychology, statistics, or related field background
- First/second class honors or Masters with significant research component
- Passion for evidence-based youth development solutions
- Strong analytical skills and collaborative mindset
