    Organizations in a Turbulent Era: Managing the Stormy Workplace

    Edited volume (In a Turbulent Era series) under contract with Edward Elgar Publishing (Expected publication: 2028)

    We invite researchers and scholars to contribute to an exciting new edited volume exploring recent trends in organizations and the workplace during turbulent times. The book is under contract with Edward Elgar Publishing and is scheduled for publication in 2028.

    We welcome original and innovative chapter proposals addressing one or more of the following topics:

    • Building resilience in organizations facing chronic instability, global crises, and turbulence
    • Designing and managing "storm-ready" organizations and workplaces
    • Strengthening leadership, decision-making, and policymaking under uncertainty
    • Managing digital transformation and AI implementation in organizations
    • Balancing human judgment, discretion, and AI-driven management
    • Fostering adaptive organizational cultures and trust building in turbulent times
    • Managing conflicts and the political climate in stormy times
    • Promoting organizational intelligence, learning, innovation, creativity, and resilience under crisis
    • Identifying effective best practices through comparative and cross-sector organizational studies
    • Enhancing employee well-being, organizational citizenship, engagement, and interpersonal care and solidarity under turbulence
    • Developing flexible work arrangements and workforce adaptation strategies under economic uncertainty
    • Managing organizational resources, compensation, and budgets during periods of disruption
    • Renewing organizational structures and promoting new forms of governance and regulation in unstable environments
    • Developing skill-based organizations, advancing future human skills, and promoting resilient workforce planning in stormy times

    We also welcome proposals on related topics that fit the overall theme of the volume, even if they are not explicitly listed above.

    Both single-authored and co-authored chapter proposals are encouraged.

    Submission Guidelines

    • Proposal: One-page chapter proposal
    • Proposal deadline: September 1, 2026, submitted to: Liad@pac.ac.il
    • Chapter length: Approximately 6,000–7,000 words
    • Full chapter deadline: March 1, 2027

    Additionally, we intend to develop a special issue based on selected chapters for publication in a leading journal in the field, providing contributors with an additional opportunity to disseminate their work to a wider audience.
