    Dear Colleagues,

We are calling for papers for a special issue of the International Journal of Human Resource Management on 'Future-Proofing Organizations Through Common Good Human Resource Management (CGHRM): Opportunities and Challenges'.

Our special issue aims to advance CGHRM theory and practice through four objectives: (1) clarifying CGHRM's conceptual boundaries and its evolution beyond sustainability-focused HRM; (2) examining how CGHRM fosters resilience, well-being, and stakeholder trust while balancing financial and societal performance; (3) positioning CGHRM as a future-proofing capability amid technological, environmental, and socio-political disruptions; and (4) promoting innovation in methodologies, performance metrics, and theoretical frameworks for future research.

We invite original conceptual and empirical research on how CGHRM contributes to ethical practices, organizational resilience, and sustainable development. Submissions may use various methodologies, provided they offer theoretical clarity and empirical depth. We especially encourage studies in specific institutional, cultural, or industry contexts, as these reveal how political and economic conditions shape CGHRM implementation. Authors should highlight contextual factors and explain how their findings advance CGHRM theory and practice.

Manuscript submission window: 1 May 2026 to 30 June 2026
