Hello fellow scholars! It's my pleasure to announce that we will be extending the deadline to submit proposals for our upcoming 2023 AOM Session:
"Agent-Based Modeling in Organizational Research: Opportunities and Challenges"
This Academy of Management PDW offers attendees the opportunity to discover agent-based modeling as a computational method for organizational research, as well as the chance to get individualized feedback on how agent-based modeling might be used in their own field and interest topics.
Part 1: Attendees will hear a brief overview of ABM and its uses, followed by discussion focused on how ABM research is conducted and published. Panel experts include
Jon Atwell
(Stanford Graduate School of Business),
Corinne Coen
(Case Western Reserve University),
Michael Macy
(Cornell University),
William Rand
(North Carolina State University) and
S.R. Aurora (a.k.a. Mai P. Trinh)
(Arizona State University). Attendees can also ask their own questions to the panel. Open to all attendees.
Part 2: Opportunity for attendees to get individualized feedback on their own developing research and input on how agent-based modeling and other computational methods could be used to strengthen their research goals. This part of the PDW requires a proposal to be submitted to the organizers for review prior to the session.
We invite anyone interested in getting feedback on their developing research to submit a brief proposal. The proposal should be a minimum of one page and should follow the structure outlined in the document attached. Please email proposals to
sophiath@ttu.edu
by July 7th, 2023. We will confirm receipt of your proposal and let you know your match with a panelist by mid-July.
