Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to share a call for papers for a special issue (SI) in Human Resource Management (1-Year IF = 6.235; FT 50) titled "Human Resource Management on the Frontlines: Confronting the Challenges of Service Work Transformation".
We encourage empirical and conceptual submissions within two core areas: Human Side of Technological Changes on the Frontlines, and Decent, Inclusive, and Sustainable Employment for Frontline Workers, but are also open to a wide variety of topics related to frontline service work (e.g., customer incivility, employee/customer transformative value and well-being). The key would be to make a substantial contribution to HRM theory and practice, without discounting the broad developments made within the interdisciplinary field of services.
Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions about the SI or would like to evaluate the fit of a new or ongoing project. The SI is expected to be published in 2025 and has a submission window of February 1-29, 2024.
Best wishes,
Brian
(on behalf of the SI team: Mahesh Subramony, David Collings, Brian Harney, Rebecca Hewett, & Helena Nguyen)
