    Dear fellow Academy members,

Please join us for a Professional Development Workshop at the 82nd Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Seattle or Online

Talent Management in Latin America: Emerging Trends and Future Directions

    Friday August 5, 2022

    08:00AM-10:00AM Pacific Time

Seattle Convention Center Chelan 5 & Zoom (Hybrid)

Notwithstanding the many existing differences among Latin American countries, several institutional (e.g., shifts in public support for pro-market economic reform vs. statism, underdeveloped capital markets, pro-indigenous populism) and cultural (paternalism, power distance, spirituality, in group loyalty, machismo) features demand the contextualization of management theories, including the emerging talent management frameworks and theories.

This PDW will assemble scholars from different countries who have published on talent management in Latin America with the goal of discussing future research areas, and creating and expanding a network of interested researchers that can fill the research gap in the region.

This workshop is sponsored by the Human Resources and International Management Divisions of the Academy.
