The SIOP Consortia Committee is excited to announce the 2024 SIOP Annual Conference Consortia! Members of I/O, OB, HR, or other related disciplines are welcome to attend. Below are summaries of events that may be of particular interest to this community. Both the Doctoral Consortium and Early Career Faculty Consortium will be held in person on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in Chicago, IL, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

    Doctoral Consortium

The annual Lee Hakel SIOP Doctoral Consortium is designed for upper-level graduate I-O psychology and OB/HR doctoral program students. Most participants will be third- or fourth-year students who have completed most or all coursework and are working on their dissertations. The doctoral consortium will include panels and presentations on Navigating the Dissertation Process, Acing the Job Market (with separate tracks for academic and industry positions), and Bridging the Academia and Industry Divide. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to attend either a Journal of Applied Psychology bootcamp or an applied networking session.

    Early Career Faculty Consortium

The Early Career Faculty Consortium (ECFC) is designed for junior faculty in I/O psychology or OB/HR programs (e.g., postdocs, pre-tenure faculty). The consortium is also appropriate for post-docs or graduate students who have accepted their first academic position. Attendees will participate in career-focused activities and sessions including panels on teaching and research, as well as navigating tenure, promotion, and marketability. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to attend a Journal of Applied Psychology bootcamp led by the journal's Associate Editors.

Please see the SIOP Consortia webpage for further details and registration instructions, as well as information on additional consortia options (e.g., Early Career Practitioners).
