Dear Colleagues,
Please join us for our presenter symposium, "AI in Talent Acquisition: Fairness, Human Reactions, and Organizational Implications", sponsored by the CTO Division. Across five papers, the symposium examines explores how the involvement of AI in talent acquisition influences stakeholders' perceptions, judgments, and behaviors. Drawing on research in human resource management and organizational behavior, we examine judgment mechanisms and recruitment processes in AI-enabled hiring contexts. We further explore how these mechanisms relate to key issues such as fairness and bias, human judgment and responsibility attribution, and the perceived legitimacy of recruitment decisions, and how these effects vary across different recruitment stages and organizational contexts. Following the five presentations, Sharon Parker will synthesize the contributions and lead the discussion. In doing so, the symposium highlights the continued importance of human judgment and accountability as AI becomes increasingly embedded in hiring decisions.
We warmly invite members of the CTO, HR, and OB communities as well as everyone interested to join us for what we hope will be an engaging discussion.
