Tenure/Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Management and Entrepreneurship
The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship within the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa invites applications for one or more Tenured/Tenure-Track Faculty positions at the level of Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor starting August 20, 2025. Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Positions are 100% time with benefits. For more information about the Tenured/Tenure-Track Faculty policy, refer to the Policy Manual, 10.1.
The Management & Entrepreneurship department has 16 tenured/tenure-track faculty members, including: Ken Brown, Emily Campion, Amy Colbert, Stephen Courtright, Eean Crawford, Arturs Kalnins, Amy Kristof-Brown, Beth Livingston, Jennifer Nahrgang, Daniel Newton, Greg Stewart, Yiduo Shao, Rong Su, Michele Williams, Miranda Welbourne Eleazar and Chad Van Iddekinge. The department also has outstanding clinical and visiting faculty and lecturers. The department offers undergraduate majors in Human Resource Management, Leadership and Management, and Entrepreneurial Management. In addition, the department teaches numerous classes in the Iowa MBA program and is committed to the development and mentoring of students in the department's PhD program. The department also houses the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center and the Tippie Leadership Collaborative.
The department is known for its excellence in research, teaching, and service to the profession, as well as its supportive and engaging environment. The department currently ranks in the top 10 of management departments in productivity per faculty member. Current areas of research collaboration among faculty include artificial intelligence and the future of work, diversity, employee engagement and well-being, entrepreneurship, personnel recruiting and selection, research methods and social networks, teams and leadership and workplace relationships and work-family relationships. Faculty members have served as editors and associate editors of major journals including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Personnel Psychology, and Psychological Bulletin. Faculty members have won numerous research awards, are Fellows of The Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and serve in leadership positions in various divisions of the Academy of Management. The department has also been recognized for research excellence and teaching effectiveness, with numerous collegiate and university awards.
Education Requirement
An earned doctorate or strong evidence that the doctoral degree will be completed before August 20, 2025.
Required Qualifications
Minimum qualifications for entry-level appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor includes a demonstrated potential of scholarly productivity, supported by publications and apparent pipeline, and the promise of ability as a teacher.
Minimum qualifications for experienced-level appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor includes an extensive and continuing body of research published in top-tier journals and a demonstrated high level of teaching competence and success in working with doctoral students.
