    Dear all,

A reminder that the HR Division will once again be running a New Faculty Consortium, to be held as an in-person PDW on Saturday, August 5 at 8:00am-14:00pm in the Westin Copley Place Boston (Parliament).

    Goals & Content

This PDW is geared towards early career faculty who teach or conduct research in HRM. Featuring successful senior faculty members with proven records in research and teaching, this PDW aims to provide guidance in navigating an academic career in an ever-changing and challenging environment.

Attendees will participate in interactive round table discussions about early career work-family balance, dual career issues, and effective teaching strategies. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in panel discussions concerning research as well as tenure and promotion procedures. Further, participants will be provided with strategies for publishing in top journals and, through a joint session with other consortia, will be able to engage with the editors of prestigious journals in the field.

    How Do I Attend?

Please send an email to Brian Harney (brian.harney@dcu.ie) or Mila Lazarova (mila_lazarova@sfu.ca) with the following information:

    • Current CV

We will be accepting applications for the consortium until Friday, July 14 (or, until we reach our capacity of 35 individuals). Once the cap has been reached, applicants will be placed on a waitlist.

    Best wishes,

    Brian and Mila
