The HR Division, with support from the Academy of Management (AOM), offers a scholarship program to ease the financial burden of members seeking to attend the Academy of Management Conference. The program provides for a limited number of scholarships to cover the conference registration fee for recipients in need, eliminating concerns about financing and reimbursement for this cost. Please note that scholarships will not cover additional conference attendance costs.
We encourage all eligible members who find themselves in need of financial assistance to apply. To be eligible for an HR Division Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have paid the annual Academy of Management membership fees for this year.
- Be a registered member of the HR Division at the time of application.
- Be able to attend the conference in-person.
After establishing eligibility based on the above criteria, priority will be given to:
- Applicants who have not previously received financial support from the HR Division
- Doctorate students
- International faculty and doctorate students
- Applicants who will be participating in an HR Division sponsored session (e.g., PDW organizer, panelist, consortium attendee, discussant, paper/symposium presenter)
The call for applications goes out in early spring through a posting on the HR Digest through AOM Connect. Individuals will be expected to apply in advance of the stated deadline and scholarship recipients will be notified shortly thereafter.
