After seven years of dedicated service, Ken Brown has announced that he will step down from the position of Associate Dean for Undergraduate Program (ADUP) at the end of the current academic year. As a result, the Tippie College is launching a national search to fill the ADUP position. The position went "live" on Jobs at Iowa several days ago; see https://jobs.uiowa.edu/faculty/view/74089, and an external ad for the position is attached. The decision to launch a national search was motivated by the need to fill this essential position with the most qualified person possible. Internal and external candidates will be equally considered. Candidates must be appointed, or appointable, at the rank of Associate Professor or higher, on either tenure track, instructional track or clinical track, in one of the college's six academic departments.
We ask you to reach out to faculty at any institution who you believe are good candidates for the ADUP position to encourage them to apply. For best consideration, applications for the position should be received by March 15, 2021.
